Today was a special day.

July 16, 1932 was an especially remarkable day—the day my Gramps was born.

There are few people these days who we can call a role model, and mean it.

My Gramps has been a role model to hundreds of people—I’m sure of that.

But to our family, and especially to Charlotte, he has been our hero.

He loves unconditionally, laughs with joy, shares stories like no other story teller, and can sing his heart out.

He is the kind of husband to my Granny that Andrew strives to be to me.

Gramps loves Charlotte more than ANYONE I know—she has his heart.

And today is his 80th Birthday.  What a day!

This past weekend we celebrated with two parties.  Pictures and stories to come tomorrow…but for now:
