The Sun Came Back!

Today was the most beautiful day we have had in two weeks—the rain is gone, the chill in the air has left us, and we were blessed with sunshine and warm temperatures…on a Saturday!

Unfortunately Andrew has a big study weekend/week ahead of him for the second part of the CPA exam next weekend…so Charlotte, Mom and I decided to have a girls day in the sun.

We started out “treasure hunting” (ie yard sales) early this morning and found the most perfect white chest of drawers for Charlotte’s bedroom—for only $25!.  We have held out for something like this for awhile, but Charlotte’s closet is overflowing with girl clothes, so now I will be able to organize everything in her drawers.  After an hour of browsing, we decided to take a break and change into more appropriate clothes for the weather—it was hot!

We then took a stroll in North Park and landed at Tomato Pie Cafe for a girls lunch of Basil and Tomato Pizza for Mom and I, and Plum Organics Banana Pumpkin food for Charlotte—yum!  CG had fun lounging in her stroller and dozing off most of the day.  By the time our adventure was over, we were both exhausted!  We came home and played (changed clothes again for Miss Charlotte who had her lunch all over hers…) and napped.

I’d say a successful sunny Saturday :)
