There are few times of the year I love more than fall.  The cooler temperatures combined with all the fun outdoor activities, boot wearing season, chai tea lattes and pumpkin spice EVERYTHING—it all makes me SO excited.

This past weekend we had a fall day.  I made pumpkin pancakes in the morning (even CG liked them!), and we headed off to the pumpkin patch after nap.

I knew Charlotte would love it—she loves new adventures and we had been talking about pumpkins all week.

I knew Ellie would be an angel as usual—asleep most of the time cuddled up in the K’tan.

I knew it would be fun for our family—but I think I had the most fun of all…

Watching my little girl shriek with excitement on the hayride was the highlight of the day for me.  Last year when we went to the pumpkin patch she was scared and held on to me tight during the bumpy ride.  But NOT this year!  She ran around and chose her pumpkin, giving it a huge hug before we got back on her favorite new ride.

I think this tradition is my new favorite thing about fall…I can’t wait to go back 2 or 3 more times this month!!
