Toddler Time::Baking

Being cooped up most days with a newborn can get old—fast!  We do try to go on outings when possible, but when we are home I’ve been trying to think of some new and fun activities to keep Charlotte entertained.

The other day I thought about trying out some baking with her, and just so happened to have all of the ingredients for Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.  When I asked CG if she wanted to make cookies, she looked at me and said “Nah”.  I then realized she had no idea what I was talking about because we had never done this before!

So, I pulled out all the ingredients, put everything on the (clean) floor and we went at it!

Her favorite part was scooping and dumping.  In the end we made a huge mess, but it was worth it!

CG was an expert raisin tosser.  A handful in the bowl, and a handful in the mouth—ha!

Time to eat!  She took one bite and said, “All done”.  Oh well—mommy loved them and so did Andrew’s office!
