Remember When?
Remember when my big girl looked like this? She was 7 months old, and cute as a button.  She still is of course, but I can’t believe how much she has changed. What’s even crazier to think about?  The fact that one year from NOW, I will have another bundle who is 7 months old.   Of course there are so many thoughts running through my head about that situation, but above...

Get Real Wednesday
I’m back on Wednesdays!  And today is the day I’ve been dreading…here are a few reasons why and some other tidbits: Today is the day I give my 2 hour presentation for my Advanced Seminar class.  The presentation is on communication/language development in children with Down’s syndrome.  My partner and I have worked really hard on it, and have found some fun ways to keep...

Charlotte Grace--18 Months
A year and a half old!  What?!  My goodness, does this mean I have to start thinking about her 2 year old birthday?  She is growing up way too fast.  And is keeping me busier than ever these days!  Charlotte’s 18 month highlights: Walking has been replaced with RUNNING.  Everywhere!  Charlotte’s new favorite thing to do is run around aimlessly outside and point to everything.  One...

Simple.
When I was young I remember the days of spring and summer seemed never-ending. The smell of the warm air, the sound of birds chirping, and the sight of hot steam rising off the pavement, freshly soaked by my mom’s sprinkler are memories stitched into the back of my mind. I spent many days laying in my backyard hammock — just reading, thinking.  I built forts in the woods behind my...

Get Real...Friday
Well, what do you know…a week has gone by and I missed my usual GRW post!  And for the same old story—busy, busy!  But this week, there was some GREAT in with the not so great.  Here’s what’s happening: I know it’s all everyone is talking about—but seriously?  This weather?!  It makes everything tough in life very bearable.  And as a mommy to a toddler, it is...

Wedding Getaway
This past weekend Andrew and I drove 7 hours to New Jersey for a wedding.  Or, should I say—wedding EXTRAVAGANZA.  My good friend, sorority sister and former roommate from college, Taylor, married the love of her life this weekend.  Taylor is an event planner (Events Custom Taylored), so I knew her wedding would be nothing less than fabulous.  What I was not prepared for, is how incredibly...

Get Real Wednesday
It’s Wed—already!  I can’t keep track of the days anymore, and noticed I have been missing these GRW posts.  My mind is PACKED with thoughts recently.  Here are a few: Monday while at the pediatrician, I was signing a form from the doctor.  When I went to write the date, my mind completely blanked.  I said, “What is the date?  The 9th?”.  The receptionist replied,...

Father-Daughter Dinner
Last week my dad escorted his two lovely (if I do say so myself) daughters to the 14th annual Father/Daughter Dinner at The Duquesne Club.  I always look forward to this night, but especially now that I am a parent.  It’s nice to have a night out, eat some amazing food, and of course spend some time with my sister Devon and our dad. We managed to sneak in some pictures before...

Shopping and Organization
Tumblr has been down the past few days, so I have some updates to share! Yesterday, albeit a bad sore throat I woke up with, Charlotte and I went shopping with Mimi.  I haven’t been shopping in months—so it was fun to enjoy a day out in the 60 degree weather! Charlotte modeled an Easter hat at Hartstrings. I don’t think she is quite ready for it yet, but she looked adorable!...

Spring Break
Woohoo—I’m on spring break!!   This basically means: Cooking big meals every night. Spending all day everyday with my little rascal. Catching up on massive amounts of work that is due in the next few weeks. And you thought I was going to say—beach, napping, and sleeping in! Yeah, not that kind of spring break. But I wouldn’t change it—I’m so happy to be...

Catching Up
This week has been busy.  Fun, but busy!  I have barely had time to eat let alone blog (and eating should be a priority right now!).  Between Gymboree, appointments, teething, play-dates, school work, checking out preschools (!) and pregnant mama not feeling great—I’m ready for the weekend to arrive! I did want to share some fun we had last weekend.  On Saturday, we got to...
